About the Tuner
New to the community of piano tuners in northern Colorado, Jesse Mathews is currently working toward registered piano technician (RPT) certification through the Piano Technicians Guild. He provides professional and affordable piano tuning and light repairs within an hour of Fort Collins, and is available to travel. In his first year as a tuner, numerous clients have been highly satisfied with his work in homes, studios, and venues (click on "Reviews" link). With a meticulous level of precision and stability, he has tuned a range of instruments from Yamaha and Kawai baby grands to heavily played music studio pianos to old consoles and spinets that have been needing attention for decades.
Jesse holds a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado and is an active musician across the Front Range on trumpet and piano. Previous to pursuing piano technician certification, he has worked in a variety of musical and educational settings, including teaching music in public schools for 12 years.
